Abstract

The BANBAM Group is illustrative of the open, inquiring, forwardlooking approach of the Clinic in its efforts to experiment with and to explore new methods and new treatment approaches for old problems.
The choice of the name itself is purposeful and is related to the philosophy and the methodology of the treatment approach. "BAN-BAM" is a simple, short-hand device designed to keep the purpose of the group in terms of a behavior goal before each member at all times. It states simply that we are here to BAN B arbiturates, A mphetamines, and M arijuana.
