PRESIDENTIAL ADDRESS - THE ESSENCE OF PSYCHODRAMA

Abstract

In order to understand the place which psychodrama occupies in contemporary psychotherapy it is necessary to understand the term psychotherapy in a broad context. It extends beyond the purely medical field. Therefore, it is indispensable to diagnose the current situation in psychotherapy. The great interest in the problemrange of psychotherapy is best expressed by the fact that a book has been recently published entitled "Thirty Six Schools of Psychotherapy," but upon scanning the book we realize that the inventory is still incomplete.
