The Czechoslovak Psychiatric Congress with international participation took place from September 7th to 11th, 1959 in Laze Jesenik (Graefenberg). The Czechoslovak Congress was the first international gathering in which psychiatrists of East and West met to exchange their views. The distinction to be one of the official spokesmen of American psychiatry was placed upon Dr. J. L. Moreno and he accepted the invitation.
