This issue of GROUP PSYCHOTHERAPY is a West Coast issue. It is dedicated to American teachers, who, under the impact of Sputnik, may at last be granted first-class citizenship for their creative efforts. In a recent Santa Monica address, Look magazine editor , George Leonard, stated, "The missing ingredient in American education is not math or science, it is excellence." He further pointed out, "There are no ready-made solutions for education, nor is there justification for the sharply angled criticisms often directed at the public schools."
