PSYCHODRAMATICAbstract
Many years have passed since Dr. J. L. Moreno first reported the use of Role Playing in a reformatory. Despite the fact that his studies indicated that Role Perception and Role Enactment,? Behavior and Sociometric Position were modified in the course of role therapy, there has been very little use of this form of therapy. It is obvious that the roles played by an inmate of a prison and the roles he is required to play upon his release are dissimilar in many respects. There is also considerable theoretical support for the position that inadequate skill in the performance of important roles contributed to delinquency in that the individual found himself rejected and punished by conventional groups because of such inadequacy.
