PSYCHODRAMAAbstract
The subjects selected to be members of the special group, which was a closed group, were thirty-two white female patients, all of whom had been diagnosed as having chronic schizophrenic reactions. All of the members of the group had had considerable prior treatment including electro-shock, Recreational Therapy, Occupational Therapy and individual psychotherapy, but the degree of illness seemed to have increased rather than decreased. Degree of illness and inability to adjust in the hospital setting was also taken into consideration. Very sick, hostile and withdrawn patients who had been hospitalized over a Jong period of time or who had been ill over a long period of time were selected for the study group.
