ON SOME AMERICAN INNOVATIONS IN PSYCHIATRY

Abstract

Doctor John C. Whitehorn in his Presidential Address at the American Psychiatric Association's Annual Meeting, in Cincinnati, uttered his views on the conditions, strivings, tasks and achievements of American psychiatry with such deep thoughtfulness and, indeed, engaging frankness that no American psychiatrist in fact, no one" concerned· with psychiatry anywhere could afford not to study his paper.
