PsychotherapyAbstract
Group therapy has reached that state of maturity in its development in which it no longer has to self-consciously defend its existence with unworthy rationales such as the fact that it is less expensive in time than other therapies. Rather, it now can emerge as a method of human helping that has its own distinctive contributions both from the investigationl standpoint, and from the therapeutic point of view. This unique aspect of Group Therapy, compared to individual Therapy, results from the emotional and intellectual awarenesses experienced in the context of group interaction.
