The late John Dewey once described Will Durant as a "humanizer" of history and following in noble footsteps it may well be said that Waldemar Kaempffert in his latest book Explorations in Science has "tenderized" the hard, unpalatable facts of modern scientific research. In effect he has masticated thousands of these facts and prepared a highly nutritious cud for the average reader
