Twenty years ago the relatively tranquil world of the Wissenshaften was disturbed by the appearance of a book with the curious title "Who Shall Survive?'' These social scientists whose main occupation up to that time has been said to have been the re-writing of each other's books, must have felt that an individual who thought for himself would soon he forgotten and bad best be ignored, for we find little evidence of interest, in the critical reviews of that period
