Abstract

This publication describes a report from Jacob Moreno regarding his visit to a clinic treating alcoholics in Moscow Russia in 1966. The report outlines his visit with Dr. Roshnov, who was using conditioning to change the relationship his patients had to alcohol. The report describes Moreno’s encounter with Dr. Roshnov, and Moreno’s description of his approach to the treatment of alcoholism using psychodrama and role playing with an emphasis on understanding the patients’ behavior in context of their social relationships.
