A Methodology for Existential Psychotherapy: Psychodrama
Keywords:
Psychodrama, Existential PsychotherapyAbstract
The author points out that historically the major shortcoming of existential psychotherapy has been its failure to formulate a methodology by which to apply its insights regarding human existence. In order to make progress toward developing such a
methodology, the author clarifies and amplifies the major tenets of existential psychotherapy so that they are more usable for thepractice of psychotherapy. He then formulates a methodology with specific psychodramatic techniques, so that these tenets can be applied in actual work with clients.
