THE EFFECTS OF SOCIODRAMA ON THE BEHAVIORS AND ATTITUDES OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL BOYS

The current generation of adults are faced with increased difficulties in raising and teaching the young. A recent poll (Georgia Association of Educators, 1974) indicates that socialization methods practiced in our schools aren't achieving adequate success. Classroom management is usually the first and most important concern of beginning teachers (Fuller, 1969; Morse & Wingo, 1969).
Such concern seems warranted. Bower (1961) and Marx, Redding and Smith (I 967) estimated that as many as three children in every class possess emotional problems severe enough to warrant special attention. Glidewell and Swallow (1968) report that approximately 30 percent of elementary school pupils present some problems of maladjustment.
